About 40 minutes from Wellington, at the other side of the inlet, this well equipped house (opposite the house of the owner) has a large living room and open kitchen, a bathroom with washing machine + dryer, a separate bedroom with a comfortable king size bed and a small balcony. You have a nice view on the forested environment. The owner provided a lot of extra's ; we were e.g. allowed to use his large heated indoor pool. The 2 dogs don't bark; it is really quiet.
To Wellington you can also use the passenger ferry but this costs NZD 22 a person return and does not go very frequently. Driving and parking (check the rates as they differ per garage and period) will usually be cheaper.
