Molema Bush Camp

Our cabin is the furthest away (300 m from the kitchen) and closest to the river but with a steep road. The cabin is very simple: a too small bed, 1 chair, 2 plastic balcony chairs whose legs can sink through the chinks of the terrace, no insect screens, 1 table, 1 armchair. The manager immediately replaced the table and chairs when we pointed to this and we are hopeful that he will carry out the (relatively inexpensive) tips of us making the cabin much more attractive. However, there is a separate shower + toilet, neatly in order. The site has no fences, so watch out for game; especially in the morning and in the afternoon it is therefore recommended to drive the 300 meters to the kitchen by car. You look out right at the Limpopo, which is completely dry at the end of September, where several animals roam. An elephant family was right behind our cabin the first night. The kitchen has a freezer and gas stove. This is shared with 4 cottages. In the other cabins there are 2 single beds.

A safari can be booked; we left with a jeep and made a walking safari to a hyena den. The drive through the Tuli Block to Molema Bush Camp is interesting; the main (sand) road runs through various private game reserves where you can already see all animals, but even in the dry season, a 'high clearance' car is recommended for the road to the accommodation. No wifi or mobile reception; a bit further along (but only on a small number of parts) the 'main' road.
